Series : THE MEMORY OF TIME

I recover iron from the soil to turn it into an element for the plastic and visual creation and, in a way, to give back the dignity that it lost at the end of the industrial activity that transformed it into scrap and turned it, at the same time, into a heavy and polluted load for the environment.


The more rusted the iron is is the more I like this metal because I use it to give color. This material has a past, it is heavy, it has odor, it has magnetism and also a history to be changed. It patches and transforms a process.


My work is an encounter with gone years where it modifies, restores, fulfills cycles and gets a feeling, a message, an emotion from it.


What a beautiful death is that of an object that at the same time revives and dies again. Salvador Dali once said: " ... the old, the archaic makes us ask ourselves a question about the past and the present of the object, thus creating an unconscious poem that flows from the artist to the exterior."


I reorganize the elements creating a new order where nothing is wasted... everything is an impeccable and eternal beauty. I make a symbiotic creation between art and nature, between poetry and thought.


In my abstract work I am a spoke person of the present where I render homage to the noble and rich materials that have a past in the history of art to show that from matter a mean and not an end can be made.
I mix oxide colors, paper and cloth to get a texture that gives body to the painting.


I invite you to take a trip into time where you will find that warmth, natural rusted pigments, ochres and repose that are some of the words that best describes my art work.
