| About the Artist | |
I trained as a painter with the Wellington School of Fine arts and Design. I worked as a painter for many years before also working three dimensionally. My sculptural works are often made in clay, cast in metal then painted in oils. I have recently worked using video installations with sculptural forms. |

| Education and biography | |
| I studied painting, and print making intially. Then finished a BA in Humanities and Languages, and MA in Comparative literatures and art history: thesis topic was: kinetic and filmic artists Len Lye's symbolic forms in his kinetic and filmic works. My PhD examines the symbolism used throughout NZ painter Colin McCahon's oeuvre. I have recently been offered a residency with the Roert Lord Writer's Residency in Dunedin where I will finish the research for two books. One on McCahon and his circle, the other on old houses in the region. | |
