Time machine
2008 Oil on canvas 190 cm x 134 cm |
|
A painting vision inspired by the circle of life and the ages of man from an infant emerging into life to an old person coming to the end - the conveyor belt and cogs to me gave the impression of something in perpetual movement as I believe time to be, and once on this belt we as people can move around it to some extent but ultimately it is a force that carries us to our destiny. The circular aspect and belt passing beneath as above could also get one to think of a certain recycling and rebirth. |
