I am interested in the glittering, illuminated and ambiguous effects created by light, shadow and shade. In addition, I am greatly inspired by my impression, confusion, anxiety and curiosity affected by being in different places and having seen different customs and beliefs. I see beauty in obscurity, sometimes the ambiguity in my painting is related to the idea of what I see, which might be different from what it actually is or what other people see. Furthermore, I am investigating an idea of using an animal’s lack of knowledge and language to represent my feelings, emotions and curiosity.

In my recent work, I am exploring the emotions and narratives associated with architecture and in particular unfamiliar interior spaces. My work portrays cat’s gesture as a symbol of my feelings in an alien world combined with a distortion image of interior spaces. As I have a background in interior design, the idea of using interior as an intimate space to represent the inner world is another area of my interests. My fantasies and emotions as well as the way I see things around are expressed through painting.
