| About the Artist |
Alain Maury has 35 years of experiences with exhibitions, allover the world: Amsterdam (Netherlands), Brussels (Belgium), Perpignan (France),Washington D.C.and New York (USA, 1997) Monte Carlo (Monaco), Madagascar (1998), Spain.
In 1970 he moved to Amsterdam, where he lived for 14 years. During this time he developed his style in painting "constructivism"
A. Maury's work "L'encadring" ("The framing"):
Represents the respective position of the spectator and his work.
Generally, at the time of the meeting, work is suspended on a wall or on a rest.
We are offered multiple possibilities, so that the relation spectator - work is interactive. In this work, the executives form part of the table. The "framed framework" plays the part of a permeable membrane like a cellular one. It lets the sementically elements pass through its dense interior, towards its less intense outside. |
