Always wanted to make images of the people, places and things around me and in my head. Portraiture is the most fascinating endeavour. Each person is such a unique and improbable phenomenon. Trying to explain a painting is like trying to explain a joke - pointless and embarrassing - for both parties. |

| A member of the Sealed Knot, he spends every available weekend re-enacting battles of the English Civil War. His costume and armour are exactly like that worn by a royalist pikeman. His helmet is a replica of a Spanish helmet, which many wore in England at that time. |
