Many artists combined their art with a variety of occupations. Gauguin was s stockbroker, Rousseau a customs officer and Matisse studied Law. There has been a gap for a painting accountant which Moscow born Alex Borissov (1963) is volunteering to fill. |
| About the Artist | |
Member of the Fine Art Trade Guild, Alex produced a series of stunning impressionist oil paintings - cityscapes and themes from nature. With his recent foray into acrylics Alex has advanced into his long term favourite - abstract art. |

Exhibited at Chelsea Art Fair, image published in Art Business Today magazine and Picture Business magazine 100th issue May 2005 under 'gallery licensing showcase'. In a private collection. Two Prints have been bought by Euler Hermes UK plc and presented to visiting Directors of the Board, subsequently finding their way to France and Germany. |

Contrary to common tradition when the interaction of yin and yang is depicted by mixing colours, Alex has achieved the same with the reflections of light and the shadows on the surface of the paintings. Exhibited in the office of an insurance company in the City of London, sold to a resident in Bermuda. |

| Education and biography | |
| 1986 MA in Economics, 1994 MBA Huron University, London 2002 ACMA, London. In 2004-05 Alex's paintings were exhibited at On-the-Wall art fair at Kensington Olympia, twice at Chelsea Art Fair, in a gallery at Kensington Church Street. Alex's solo art exhibition in 2004 was opened by the Mayor of Ealing. From 2006 onwards Alex is working predominantly on commissions. Alex's works have a proven appeal to city professionals and corporate clients resident in the UK, USA, Canada, Bermuda, Ireland, Russia and Switzerland who have purchased pieces for offices and personal use. After 16 years in London Alex has recently moved to Zurich, Switzerland. |
