My name is Alex Osipov a.k.a Ozipov®. I am a professional artist living in Vancouver, BC with an art background from Europe via Israel. I was born in Russia, and my passion for art started when I was 7. Later on my mother enrolled me in the local art school where I was always at the top of the class. I moved to Israel in 1992 and lived there for 7 years, continuing to create and experiment with different styles of art and materials. It's where I've got Bachelor of Arts with distinction from Israel. In 1999 I moved to Calgary, Canada, where my career changed to Graphic and Web Design. But a few years ago I was introduced to abstract painting, and it became my passion. Creatively charged my artwork has changed through many years from realism and representational art to the modern abstract, contemporary art and modern design and it became my passion.

| About the Artist |
This is my internal space, this is my music and my soul. I believe a true work of art has a soul. Every artwork is like my child, one day it's born, has a long life span, personality, and part of my spirit. As a creative person, I am inspired by the Nature, this is my interpretation of everyday things: trees, water and sky, things that we often not paying attention to. I am also driven to create artworks which represent the human beauty, spirit and harmony with the Nature...
I don't make religious or political statements with my art and paint to give joy. If it pleases your eyes and touches a part of your soul, then it's done its job.
Empty canvas ... Never know what it will turn out at the end. Just letting the colors lead me. This is my Art. This is the Art i know and love. |

| Education and biography |
My fine art paintings are included in private collections in Canada, US, Israel, Germany, Sweden and other European countries. Some of them also have been featured in many art galleries in Israel during my life and work there.
All my artwork is 100% hand-painted, original and one of a kind. I am using acrylic on canvas, it dries fast, has a variety of mediums and textures. I do not do any kind of prints. Every painting is signed “OZIPOV” by me on the front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. All items are handled with great care and are coated with varnish to protect the colours for an extended period of time. I use only 1.5 inch deep gallery size canvases to make my paintings stand out, look nicer on a wall and bring more value to you. I hope you will enjoy my artwork and I want to bring a fresh stream to an existing modern arts market. |
