Born in Seattle Washington, US, the first of 3 kids, I grew up in Madison Park and played in the Washington Park Arboretum when I was a child. I was bussed out of my neighborhood to attend public school, my friends remained few, and I spent most of my time by myself. I resented that a lot of my friends had gone to other schools. I felt like an outcast most of the time, and I felt different than other little boys. Most of my friends were girls, and I was bullied quite a bit throughout my years in public school.
I have been around art and clay for as long as I can remember. My mother always had us in her pottery making things with our hands. We held kindergarden in our basement, as it was so large, and we would make things out of paper, plaster and glue. My parents would take me to art openings and dinner parties with their artist friends. I have a lot of memories from when I was younger. I remember seeing James Turrell's inaugural exhibition of the Center On Contemporary Art (CoCA), in 1982 in Seattle, with my mother, when it was across from the Seattle Art Museum. I think being around creative materials and people at such a young age had an influence on me.

| About the Artist |
For me the greatest thing about working in art, with my materials and techniques, is to be able to say something that has meaning and weight, something that communicates an idea on many different levels. Through the process of making art, I am able to have a deeper discussion with myself and the world. I want to create the truth and have it be an intimate relationship so present that you can feel it, and over time it grows deeper. Art is an interwoven part of my life,
I utilize methods of expression, that most directly and accurately enable myself to most-quickly manifest ideas through physical material means without losing the orginal conceptual intent and momentum..
I have an innate love for all things Victorian & Gothic, Rococo, Dreams, Abstract Expressionism, Deconstruction, Gothic Lolita Style and Japanese Fashion, Gender & Culture, Transgenderism, Femininity & it's many ways of expression.
