| About the Artist | |
As a child I travelled extensively with my family, therefore we never associated a place with home. This has been the impetus for my work, exploring ideas of homelessness and the relationship between place and home. I started out making spaces from collected materials, these became shells drawn from the external. Then I moved into using my body as the starting point for home and making spaces that reflected bodily desires for comfort and protection. Materials have been paramount and have directed the form and processes used in the making. |
