The theme of my work concentrates on the journey that we all make through life; whilst we all have different lives before us and different life experiences we do share the same fundamental processes and stages within the journey of life. My work is not sporadic but prolific and one painting flows to another so that the journey can be visualised and experienced by the viewer as a sequence of related images.
To produce the universal images contained in my body of work I search myself, my soul, finding what is important to me; what is ‘Residing Within’ myself . I have found that follwing this path not only produces images that are pertinent to myself but that are also ubiquitous and as such rudimentary to us all. In order to convey and express the vairety of experiences we encounter through life my paintings are produced in a variety of sizes and styles, thus encapsulatng the mutifaceted aspects of life.
The paintings cover all the stages of life; birth-death, youth-old age, joy-sorrow; and whilst each individual painting has it’s own message to communicate it also functions with the others to produce an exhibition that conveys our spiritual selves within life’s odyssey.
