Born in Brazil, 1976

Carolina received her BA in Communications from ESPM – Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (São Paulo, Brazil) in 1997 and worked in the advertising field for seven years.

She started photographing in 1998, and since then studied at Senac-SP and at the MAM – Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo.

In 2002 she decided to pursue photography as a career, gaining experience photographing bespoke portraits assignments and editorial for magazines in São Paulo.

In 2005 she moved to New York City to study at the International Center of Photography, where she had the opportunity to take classes with the renowned photographers Amy Arbus and Andrea Modica.

Since 2007 she has been traveling between São Paulo and London. In the fall of 2008, Carolina studied Modern and Contemporary Art at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London.
