Painting on canvas, collage, cuttings, assemblage of various materials: washi paper, silk paper, bamboo leaves, wrapping paper, foam flocking, combined with Chinese ink are my favourite but not only tools.

These fragile materials and delicate ink give birth to images and iconic elements, memories of my childhood in Vietnam which are also infused with daydreams of my adulthood spent in the Western world.

From realistic inspiration, my work offers a window on another world as illustrated by this painting from the series lanterns, �lampions�. At the time of its first exhibition, a wine producer saw in these images; vine leaves, a small boy, a merry-go-round...

To create, paint or arrange, it doesn�t really matter, what is essential to me is to innovate, to experiment, to explore, accomplish and show my work (and not to confront it) and preserve the pure happiness that I feel from the first spark to the signature.

This is the kind of happiness that I wish to communicate through my work.
