About the Artist

I am an artist committed to creating and communicating art in exciting different ways using traditional techniques. I take the high road in my approach to the world's problems and my communication is on the side of the light always. I agree with George Harrison when he sang... " now the Lord helps those that help themselves and the Law says whatever you do is gonna come right back on you." "The Lord Loves The One"

Crown of Thorns

2006
oil on canvas

oil on canvas with panel in oil of fabric pattern from the 20's
127cm x 60.96cm

Beautiful New York Tough Boy
While living in New York, I dated this guy from Greece, he looked good lighting a match in my pink bedroom. The panel, also in oil, is taken from a 1920's fabric pattern I offer this piece as a limited signed closed edition of 500

Me & A Gun

1998
0il on canvas with panel in oil of 1920's fabric pattern
120cm x 90cm

Me & A Gun
When I was living and modeling in New York, I was basically living and surviving in a concrete jungle. I have a fascination with guns, both from an appreciation of the beauty of the mechanics, and a healthy respect for this instrument of defense. This painting is from a photo taken in my upper East side apartment. The panel is from a twenties deco fabric pattern. I offer this piece as a limited signed closed edition of 500

dragonslayer Riding The Giant (Laird Hamilton)

2006
oil on canvas
152.4cmx121.92cm

dragonslayer Riding The Giant (Laird Hamilton)
The danger and art of giant wave surfing fascinate me, as in Laird Hamilton riding the over 20ft. waves, He and his crew basically invented towing surfing of the big waves. When looking at the painting I like to think you can imagine the sound of waves crashing and the thrill of the ride. The textured panels are reminiscent of Pucci with the look and feel of sun paled jammies. I offer this painting as limited signed edition on this website

September 11 2001 The Healing Flowers

9/11/2001-5/2006
oil on canvas
121.92cm x 91.44cm

September 11 2001 The Healing Flowers
The vision came before the event and I have been working on this painting since before 9/11/2001, completed 9/2006, where "September 11-The Healing Flowers" was exhibited in the Boca Raton Museum for the biannual 2006. I offer this artwork as a closed, signed, limited edition of 500

Uber Femme (when I was sixteen)

2005

Uber Femme (when I was sixteen)
Painted from a photograph of me taken in the Everglades by my future husband, of when I was sixteen. I am holding a small hand- gun and leaning against his old Tr4.I offer this arwork as a closed limited edition of 500

My Father At Work In His Paisley Tie

2005
oil on canvas with oil on canvas panel
86.36cmx71.12cm

My Father At Work In His Paisley Tie
My Father had a great work ethic. He hand-tooled and hand made beautiful leather products in his factory in Dunkeld, Scotland. I choose to paint him working on a piece of leather in his factory as my tribute to him. The body of the painting has a water color feel, although done in oils, with a shadowy background prophetically suggesting the skyscrapers of New York, where he traveled to and I was born. My Dad loved Scotland and he also loved America, and was so proud to become an American citizen. He was bi-lingual, Polish being his native tongue. The panel's tartan is the Scottish Blackwatch, the tartan of the guards as they watch over the sleeping city. I offer this artwork as a limited signed closd edition of 500

DESIRE & THE PINK LAMBORGHINNI

2009
oil on Belgian linen
152cm x 152cm

Diptych; Oil on Belgian Linen 5X5ft (152cm x 152cm). A Self portrait of when I was nineteen; dreaming dreams yet to be realized and still a visionary. With Mizner Park "distressed" in the background. Pattern on panel free form.

MARILYN IN HER PUCCI MIRROR BLOUSE

2008
oil on canvas
160cm X 128 cm

Oil on canvas 5ft X 3ft approximately. A different view of Marilyn chatting on the phone and casually thumbing through a book while relaxing in her bedroom in Brentwood, California

MAGIC IN THE GARDEN No.1

2007
pencil, graphite, grattage
22cm X 15cm

MAGIC IN THE GARDEN No.1
I had seen a drawing by Picasso which influenced me, involving seduction and voyeurism, which I employed here. I defaced and slashed at the drawing with a sharp instrament used for making print plates, "grattage" , which gave me great satisfaction.

Education and biography
I have painted since childhood I Studied at art center, Pasadena, California and graduated from the University of Miami. I have had many one person gallery shows, numerous group shows and my paintings are in private homes and collections ..... as Fellini said in the movie, 8 1/2 : ( I could not say it any better ) "We are already suffocated by words, by sounds and Images that have no reason to exist...that emerge from the void and return to the void. Any man or woman WORTHY to be called an artist should swear one oath....dedication to SILENCE!"
