About the Artist

Art is dialogue, not statement. My work is more than surface, I hope.

Pattern Recognition Project

Archival photographs
Variable

Gallery shot. An ongoing project, inspired by the collages of Max Ernst, documenting and displaying diverse visual stimuli. Images are randomly selected from an ever expanding archive of my photographs and displayed in a grid like format, in pairs or blocks, whole walls or in small enclosed installations. Visual patterns of subject matter, colour, form etc are randomly created by association, prompting a multitude of possible interpretations. A kind of non-didactic experiential exercise in reading visual stimuli.
