| About the Artist | |
KLEM (Cyrille CLEMENT) came to painting for no reason. A self-taught painter, open to all new forms of artistic expression, his paintings are an ongoing work in progress. More than 20 years have passed between his first drawings, his famous ‘skies’ and his new ‘Crepuscule Delights’ series. “I have lived through these years with my senses heightened. I have spent days alone, holding my head low or high, with my eyes firmly fixed on the horizon, taking futile steps on the path that was mine. A vain quest. The horizon moves back. I had forgotten that the Earth is round. A byway, a refuge, I stop there for a second. No more running, only the wind that I follow with my eyes. I finally raise them and take a closer look”. |
