| About the Artist |
Darian Zam’s current series "I'm So Miserable Without You, It's Almost Like You're Here" examines the human condition using amateur photographs embellished with slogans which are sad, brutal, sentimental, funny- but most of all moving.
His work verbalises what we can’t say out loud. It manifests the inner voice that questions our identity and existence, like a visual Tourettes Syndrome. In an often humorous way, his work reiterates the dialogue that we are all the same underneath the surface, and in common share the same experiences and feelings.
