I am a painter living and working in New York City and the East Bay San Francisco area. I have been based in New York City for the last 13 years, making ends meet as a cultural lackey working at several museums including the Isamu Noguchi Museum and Sculpture Garden, and the Museum of the City of New York as well as writing monthly gallery reviews for Gay City News.

What am I looking at, thinking about? My day-to-day, I put all the art stuff through the grinder of my New York life. The Number 7 train at rush hour.
Joan Mitchell multi part canvases. Compositions that go up, the color of light, an aknowledgement of the physical body of the painting.
Jasper Johns broken sequences, multipart canvases, compositions of patchworks, what is my grey?.
Cy Twombly The sexual nature of drawing through wet paint.
Louise Fishman her clumsy almost non-expressive paint handling and quality of light. The physical paint, the non-gestural loaded brush.
Ellsworth Kelly a question of how to warm up and bring some life into the late multipanel works- they stink of awfully high art. A Sad place for him to end up.
Agnes Martin-the clarity and spirit a joy forever but what if it came in a juicy wet romantic package. The inflected line, yes -but what would Aunt Agnes look like in a hard rain?
Matisse grey - binding tonalities, the physical paint, the drawn line.
Always Hoffman the personality -painting as a reflection of self if not it is a cheat. Like inviting someone into your home or to visit you in your garden. The physical body of the paint. A conversation or a meal where both parties find out something they didnt know at the beginning
Unions
What if Johns had been fucked up the ass by Hoffman and the shit baby lived?
If Joan Mitchell and Agnes Martin bore a child, the fruit of their love would look like what?
The love child of Ellsworth Kelly and Louise Fishman would resemble neither?
What would Sean Kellys kid look like if he had been knocked up by Cy Twombly?
