The site (www.figurepainting.eu) is in the form of a survey or retrospective of paintings dating as far back as the early sixties. The earliest self portraits were painted whilst a student at Bradford on the Graphic Design Course. The next section comprises work completed at the Royal College (London) in the mid sixties. They reflect the 'Hard Edge' saturated colour style of painting begining to emerge on the London Circuit.

The seventies represents a complete change of direction with paintings that were influenced by comic illustration.

The work changed again by the late seventies. Some sculptures were completed at this time.

My return to the North of England prompted a renewed interest in oil painting and representation. For the last ten years I have concentrated on the nude figure coming full circle to my early studies as a seventeen year old student in life class. Only those works priced are for sale.

My new painting can be viewed at the Dean Clough Galleries, Halifax. The galleries are open every day. Information on various paintings at certain galleries, contact and otherwise (public & private) are on the 'biography' page. A search engine (top left) has also been installed, making looking for certain paintings a much easier task
