| About the Artist |
I've chosen to work with the subject of the atomic bomb because it is the ultimate example of our societies obsession with fatality. I have always been fascinated by imagery of the apocalypse. What could be more fatalistic than the self-imposed, created apocalypse of nuclear warfare? My images are abstractions of nuclear explosions, the mushroom cloud. I use bright, enticing colors to lure suspecting viewers. The paintings are mounted on the wall side by side, an installation covering large areas. |
