I was born in Malta, lived in Nigeria as a child, and then in Cyprus from 1984 to 1998. My travels and journeys have influenced my colours and shapes, and how I view the world. |

I am driven by my need to paint, and my dreams about colour and paintings. My work relates as much to my 'inscape' as it does to the outer world and events around me. I see ideas for painting everywhere. |

| I painted the city from the 6th floor of a building, using watercolour to catch the essential elements. As I developed my oil painting, I wanted to convey the relentless sound of the traffic, the flashing neon signs and advertisements, and the mystery and movement of this Middle-Eastern city. |

| The Baths were often full, on Women's days (Wednesdays and Fridays) and women took it as a chance to relax and talk, have a massage, and sit around in dressing gowns having cups of strong black coffee. |

| This was a different approach! I like the idea of groupings, and saw these teapots on a trolley in a cafe. They reminded me of my groups of women in the Baths, and this is why I painted them clustered together. |

| I studied first at Hastings College of FE (Foundation year) then Canterbury College of Art. I have exhibited many times, in Cyprus, Greece, London, and all over Kent. | |

| This month I took part in 3 shows, including a solo show here in Tunbridge Wells. I have more planned for September and November, to be finalised. | |
