Born In Liverpool in 1968
I am a freelance painter and textile artist based in Colchester Essex were I live and work from an early 60's bungalow with tropical plants and my 1953 Chevy woody wagon.
With my background of printed textile design my paintings and artworks are full of pattern and pictorial themes. I have a passion for vintage fabrics from Lucienne Day to Ray Eames, which inspire my work along with trips to California and Hawaii.
I have extensive experience with leading workshops and projects for children and adults of all abilities. These are funded by Creative Partnerships, Firstsite, Essex County Council and involve working in Schools, museums and galleries across the county.
Other clients have included J D Weatherspoons, CSN Consultancy, The Gardens Of Eastern Lodge, Rethink Disability, Youth Plus, Labour MP Harry Cohen, Colne Housing and The Mayor of Colchester Mayer Ray Pierce.

| About the Artist |
My work has often been described as illustrative and retro with a modern twist. The works on canvas and textile creations are very Mid 20th-Century modern inspired with varied influences from atomic to primitive.
My commercial client list includes. JD Weatherspoons, M Modern Gallery USA, Kelly’s Market Place USA, Firstsite, Essex County Council, The Gardens of Easton Lodge, The London Garden Show, First Great Eastern Railways, Tom Cody design US, The Walker Art Gallery, Port Sunlight Museum, to name a few.

Atomic Mill

Atomic Mill is a private commission created on a luxury apartments open plan divisional wall.
The idea was born from the clients contemporary furniture colour scheme and inspired from the building history which was once a flour mill.
She wanted the artwork to be inspiring and individual to her home.

Scouting Centenary Installation

This public art installation commissioned by Colchester Leisure services to commemorative the scouting centenary was created with the a number of art activities and workshops with local scouts and cubs who helped design the 14 flags installed in the badge border of Colchester Castle Park and opened by the mayor. |

Firstsite commissioned this textile panel and matching printed vinyl chairs for Cherry Tree Infant School in Colchester.
It was designed and created for the schools reception area and was part of the ArC project with is an artist residency programme in schools delivering citizenship through art.
Featured in the Times Educational Suppliment.
