| Jean-maree Pool |
| |
JME (aka Jean-Maree Pool) Born in Brisbane, Australia 1976.
During her high school years Jean-Maree was recognised as being a talented artist and was selected to exhibit in the Excellence in Youth Art Award.
A fortuitous set of circumstances led her to Belgium the following year where she completed a specialisation in Art and Graphic Design.
JME has been exhibiting her oils and pastels for many years. Her art is held in private collections both in Australia and Belgium.
 |
| |
| About the Artist |
JME’s work explores the line between good and evil and the innate, nature of the child. In doing so, she juxtaposes simple “cute†imagery with a dark subtext. Additionally JME uses subtle humour to soften the moral commentary and develop recourse
JME likens her paintings to schoolgirl scenes from the 50s and relates them all to her own life experiences. |
