I was born in 1944 in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire. However I spent my childhood in West Yorkshire. My career took me (and my family) on a tour of the West Country and East Wales. I live with my wife in a hamlet in the Welsh Marches, north of Monmouth. |

Some of you might find this very shocking - but I am an evangelical Christian!The main focus of my art is "enlightenment". The word "enlightenment" means to instruct or inform. It also means to shed light on an object or to give light to a person. My work therefore encompasses the language of mathematics and science, the light from a low sun creating a metamorphosis of objects and situations, light within industrial processes and also spiritual enlightenment from my perspective as a Christian. I explore the concrete and metaphorical concepts in mixed media � the media itself reflecting the many-faceted nature of enlightenment. I want to hit the big time before I die - not afterwards! |

| I studied civil engineering in Sheffield in the 1960's.I am a chartered civil engineer and have a master of philosophy degree from the University of Cardiff Business School (2000). I retired from my career in local government in 2001 after ten years as a Director of technical services. I studied art at Hereford College of Art and Design and was awarded an HND in Fine Art in 2005. I am now studying for an MA in Printmaking at the University of Wales, Newport - to be completed in 2010. I began exhibiting in 2004 and have enjoyed early success in major competitions and regional exhibitions. Exhibitions include: Hunting Art Prizes, 2004; Triennial Open Print, Royal West of England Academy, Bristol,2004; Originals 05, Mall Galleries,February 2005; Welsh Artist of the Year Exhibition 2005 and 2006; Mini Print exhibitions Lessedra Bulgaria and BIMP Canada 2006 and Naestved Denmark 2008. |
