I was born in Boston on November 12 1954. My love of photography started at the early age of 12, inspired by my beloved Grammie Wilson and her famous slide-shows depicting her travels and adventures. That's when I acquired my first camera - a Brownie of course!

| About the Artist |
My landscape work started as visual journal, a record of the path to which I continuously return. I see the landscape metaphorically, as a reflection of my own psychological and spiritual state of mind, and at times my images become pure meditations of serene places that resonate with the tranquility of nature. Still, I am often drawn down dark, foreboding paths, lured by nature’s mysterious veil. |

| Education and biography |
My first degree is in Music - a very important element in my life. I studied photography while in college; thereafter, I enrolled in drawing and painting classes at the Museum School, Massachusetts College of Art, Harvard - and every where offering class or teacher that inspired me. It was at Harvard, during my studies with Jane Tuckerman and Christopher James, that my love of 19th Century alternative processes developed. I also met Betty Hahn, a Havard visiting artist in 1984. Betty suggested I apply for graduate school at the University of New Mexico
(UNM). I followed her advice, and went on to receive an MA in Studio Arts and an MFA with a focus on Alternative Processes. |
