| About the Artist |
My artwork is the collage.
What is a collage?
The word collage is derived from the French coller, which means gluing.
However, with the collage is meant not only a specific technique. It names a behavioural pattern and method which is able to question fixed traditional meanings and which transfers them into new unconsumed perspectives by experimental combinations.
By linking known issues, something new is created. Two or more different realities converge and merge. This principle is suited, to make other, fantastic worlds visible. And the triggering accident is the means to effect inspiration.
For Max Ernst the collage technique was the systematic exploitation of the accidentally and artificially provoked concurrence of two or more realities of a different nature and the spark of poetry, which jumps over, when these realities approach.
