Keith Baugh (b.Derbyshire, England) moved from Notting Hill, London, to a beautiful riverside village in Gloucestershire. He is an accomplished painter and photographer and was elected a member of the Chelsea Arts Club in 1982. |
| About the Artist | |
Work ranges through portraiture, figurative and still-life to a series of paintings inspired by American popular culture. Talking about his portraits of musicians, Keith said 'Having seen these legendary musicians play live, often up close, Hendrix and Miles Davis at the Isle of Wight Festival, Elvis in Las Vegas in 1971, Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, the Clash - their images are indelibly etched on my mind. They are such powerful contemporary icons - their music is the soundtrack to our lives...' |
