| Keith Webb |
| |
|
Born in Northampton, Keith has lived in London for most of his life. He took up art seriously after leaving British Telecom where he worked as a manager in the International Department. As a fine artist his most notable influences have been Impressionism and Expressionism, although Keith's style is all his own.

| About the Artist |
Keith studied at the University of East London where he obtained his BA (Hons) and MA in Fine Art. His paintings, mainly on canvas in oils or acrylics, and sometimes in water-based printing inks, are either figurative or else abstracted compositions depicting his own interpretation, or impression, of reality. Some paintings depict the female nude, effectively a celebration of the female form which he has attempted to render in compositionally interesting ways. Others are abstracted compositions based on things seen around him, often architectural in nature reflecting his city environment, colourful, personal impressions based on actual urban scenery or else imagined urban landscapes. “I am interested in the lumps and bumps which go to make up the city, in the interesting, sometimes quirky, architectural shapes of some new buildings as well as the sense of dereliction of others, and like to use bold, sometimes surrealistic, colours in an attempt to reach beyond the drab reality of the buildings which inhabit much of London.”
Keith is a member of the Essex Art Club - website: www.essexartclub.co.uk . He is also an experienced stereo (3D) photographer and anaglyph examples of his work (red&blue glasses needed to view) can be seen on website: www.flickr.com/photos/8235622@N07 .
