| About the Artist |
The work of Materializer Industries:
Within the work of Kor Smeenge there is a strong fixation on what he calls 'the in-audible nature of things'. Keeping in mind there is only so much we humans are able to hear Kor designs musical instruments that render audible drops of water, waves, wind, lightning and other phenomena showing chaotic behavior. |

Waterharpet V2.02
2006 Metals,glass,electronics 100x55x180 |
|
Intoner of waves in water. This artwork 'listens' to the waters' surface and renders found frequencies audible.
Underlying chaotic behavior in the water starts to ever feed new rithmic- and tonal-data into the intoner.

Grand piano for the rain
2003 Metals,electronics, synthetics. 120x30x120 |
