Having spent a long time making pictures for myself and a lot of other photographers I have gone back to my primary and personal driver: art, design and illustation. Now I utilise my acquired expertise and skills to produce work of the high quality required Today. All of the featured prints shown on this site are purely drawn from photographic sources: no digital graphic/illustration or layers involved in construction of compositions. The originals are all printed on 100% rag paper (museum quality) using the latest arhival pigmented inks. All of the source subjects are found in nature - hardly any man-made objects or materials. The resulting images still show the warmth, subtlety and drama prevalent in nature. These qualities still survive the modern digital processes involved in modern photography if great care is taken not to lose even the smallest detail and feeling throughout working on each composition. The same care is taken with people that sit for me. Their physical presence and essence needs to be retained. |
