Born in the Middle Eastern capital of the U.S. in 1971.
This profile page was created in order to establish a gift exchange system that increases the accessibility of art and encourages creative collaboration.
Make a gift of art (visual, aural, literary, and so on) and mail it to me: Department of Communication and Culture, 800 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47405, U.S.A. I will respond with a gift in kind by making something that speaks to your creation.

| About the Artist |
I am inspired by highly skilled craftspeople, expert draughtsmanship that goes beyond the representational, beautiful abandoned things, mechanical stuff, and deterioration.
My artwork is experimental, experiential, and honest. Very often it is textile-based. |

| Education and biography |
I have little formal artistic training. Academic education includes degrees in philosophy and history of religions as well as some coursework in theater/costume design. Currently I am a doctoral student studying how identity gets communicated through dress and appearance and what the broader cultural implications of this are. I also am a costume designer for an experimental theater company,Plasticene.
An unwillingness to assign a financial value to artworks has resulted in very few public exhibitions. This reluctance to participate in a commercial exchange is not a critique of those who do but rather is symptomatic of my disposition. The creation of this page aims to resolve some of the tensions that arise for me when creating art in a commerce-driven world. |

| Future shows |
| I am the costume consultant for the 16 performance pieces to be staged in Chicago on May 2nd as part of the White Nights Looptopia. |
