| Education and biography |
Three years Fine Arts- Kootenay School of Art, Nelson, BC.
Following her graduation she continued to study and explore different medias such as pastel, watercolor and clay sculpture. Maria Miranda Lawrence has participated in many professional group showings
with the Island Illustrators Society, Canadian Institute of Portrait Art, Federation of Canadian Art, Night of Artists, Sooke Fine Arts, as well has had several solo exhibitions in Nelson, Kitimat, Vancouver, Sooke and Victoria, BC. |

| Future shows |
| Maria Miranda Lawrence has been recognized for her achievemben in the arts by her birthplace in the Azores, as well as recognized in Canada. She is a signature member of the Canadian Institute of Portrait Art, and was presented with the National COPA award for "Arts and Culture" by the Canadian-Portuguese Congress in May of 2006. She is working on a Portuguese inspired series which will be shown in Canada, the USA and in Portugal. Other invitations are most welcome! |
