|
MARIO ZIRARDINI was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, January 6th 1960. He began his passionate journey into the Fine Arts under the tutelage of Luis Perlotti, Clementina Huss Dailoff and Norma Nigro. While in attendance he advanced in her development, focusing on drawing, painting and art history at the Asociación Amigos del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and also at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (U.B.A.) He also studied Art Critic at the Asociación Dante Alighieri, in Buenos Aires, and at the Asociación Estímulo de Bellas Artes under the expert tutelage of Esteban Janiot. He also frequented the studio of Inés Lalanne and Rodolfo Cano Ahumada.
Zirardini was invited to show his artworks to many exhibition halls such as Galerías Pacífico and Centros de Gestión y Participación del Gobierno de Buenos Aires. He made his first solo exhibition in 1989 at the Galería Chevallier; he made another solo exhibit in 1993 at the Caja Nacional de Ahorro y Seguro. In 2005, Zirardini presented his series named “Paisajes Urbanos” at the Salones de la Comisión Nacional de la Manzana de las Luces (Secretaría de Cultura de la Presidencia de la Nación).
During the first semester of 2006 he has participated in may workshops, as the one named Análisis de Obra under the tutelage of Luis Felipe Noé, and also took more painting classes with Lucrecia Orloff.
From the beginning of June until the end of December 2006, he made some exhibitions at the new space "NAVATA RESTÓ-BAR", Buenos Aires.
In the same month, Mario Zirardini was selected by the International Scientific Committee of the Florence Biennale, Italy, in order to participate to the Sixth Edition, which took place from December 1 until December 9 2007. His participation had excellent critic reviews.
During the entire 2007, he returned to study with Rodolfo Cano Ahumada, Ciudad de Buenos Aires and continued with the drawing studies .
Mario Zirardini also holds a degree in law, graduated from the Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales, Universidad de Buenos Aires. He works as a Notary Public. | About the Artist |
Take a look at Zirardini's oeuvre at
http://www.huma3.com
Zirardini’s art reflects his inner being. Living in his own world, as if a hermit, his work becomes a medium of communication to the outside world. Mario expresses his own critical views within his art which presents itself for acceptance by his reviewers. To Zirardini, painting is like working a puzzle. You have the pieces and you simply need to search for the desired combinations. To him, painting is a game. Just like ink’s were a game for the Chinese Masters who enabled their works to convey denouncing views that transcended the obvious beauty and face value of the work. As with a poem, to one who has studied his style, the hidden meaning of his art will reveal more than simply what the words of a poem reflect on the surface. |
