The media today is no different than what the
Maoist regime was in its heyday.
We are given images of our everyday heroes, studiously working for the better of the people, in scenes meant to invoke happiness, freedom and frugality.
The “POPAGANDA” show takes our pop culture to new levels of ridiculousness.
Using original Maoist posters as a format, these oil paintings are Made In China, further accentuating the idea that as a culture we now outsource not only our emotions, but our art as well.
