Born Belfast, 1973. Irish artist working and living in England.
About the Artist
I am interested in how Art is viewed online. The Internet is ‘designed’ for content and navigation but can it hold Artwork as ‘form’? The World Wide Web is exploited by artists as a portfolio but rarely is the ‘actual’ artwork viewed in its primary medium. I create Artwork that is first and foremost displayed on a Web page with the potential of ‘exhibiting’ in the analogue world as a secondary opportunity.

In 1957 Rudolf Arnheim published a book called 'Film as Art'. In this book he makes a prediction about the
'blossoming of the "abstract" film— the beginnings of what someday will be the great art of painting in motion.' This work seeks to achieve this through the medium of the Web page.
Education and biography
Born and raised in Belfast I decided early in my education to head in the direction of the arts. I graduated from the University of Ulster with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication in 1996. Since then I have worked as a Graphic Designer, an art teacher and a lecturer. Over the years, freelance Graphic Design has pushed my work into the arena of image making, especially on the web. To complement this interest I completed an MA in Computer Arts in London and have just developed a new body of worked based around the digital canvas. I exhibit this work nationally and more recently, internationally.
