| About the Artist |
Remo Spada, independent artist. Works with photography, video, installations and materials recovery. He is a visual and conceptual artist, not tied to any particular expressive language, but faithful to continue experimentation.
In 2004 he won the third prize OpenArt04 in the graphics section. Since 2005 he has participated in numerous international artistic residences. In 2006 he was included in the national catalog of the National “Celeste Prize” (curated by Gianluca Marziani) and is in the collective in Berlin with “Hypegallery”. In 2008 among the 25 finalists “RomaeuropaWebFactory” with the video "ERRARE”. In 2009 produced the video "Violence Victoria” for the event “Art against Violence” interacting with the world of theater, participating in the workshop “MUSIKI'” led by Paolo Pisanelli, as is the short film which will be screened at “Notte della Taranta 2009” before the big concert. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Lives and works in Lecce.
International collaborations:
- Haleh Abghari component of the artistic collective V.I.A. (VisionIntoArt - New York) with whom he made the video "The Voice of the Soul"
- Felix Fan (cello - New York) with whom he made the video “[Please, don't eat the cello] Felix Fan in concert”
Italian Version
Remo Spada, artista indipendente. Lavora con la fotografia, il video, le installazioni e i materiali di recupero. E' un artista visivo e concettuale, non legato a nessun particolare linguaggio espressivo, ma fedele alla continua sperimentazione.
Nel 2004 vince il III premio OpenArt04 nella sezione grafica. Dal 2005 partecipa a numerose residenze artistiche di carattere internazionale. Nel 2006 viene inserito nel catalogo nazionale del Premio Celeste (a cura di Gianluca Marziani) ed è in collettiva a Berlino con Hypegallery. Nel 2008 è tra i 25 finalisti del RomaeuropaWebFactory con il video “ERRARE”. Nel 2009 produce il video “Violence Victoria” per l'evento “L'arte contro la violenza” interagendo con il mondo del teatro; partecipa al laboratorio “MUSIKI'” condotto da Paolo Pisanelli, titolo anche del cortometraggio che sarà poi proiettato alla “Notte della Taranta 2009” prima del grande concertone. Ha partecipato a numerose mostre in Italia e all'estero. Vive e lavora a Lecce.
