Early work and training (Israel/London)

1988-1995- Working as a freelance journalist. Writing for “Hadashot” newspaper and recording a weekly review of the UK music scene for Israeli radio.

1987- Moving to London from Israel.

1985-1987- Music journalist for “Haaretz”, a national newspaper.
1984-1986- Working as a live events producer and music editor. The arts and culture department. IDF Radio, a national Israeli broadcasting station.
1983-1986 - Performing with STANZ, a group inspired by Punk and Dada.
1982 - Bass playing with post punk band MEGAHERTZ.
1981-1982 - Bass guitar studies with Arnon Palti, a leading Israeli jazz musician.
1977-1982 - Study dance and movement with pioneer dancer and performer Yardena Cohen.
1977-1982 - Rubin Conservatorium of Music - Studies included music theory, composition, piano playing and improvisation.

Room to Breathe was a day of collective action/participation/performance led by Sharon Gal on Saturday 4th of July 2009. In a newly renovated, empty house, in a residential neighborhood, we were blowing balloons, gradually filling one of the rooms and creating an acoustically changing environment. We were joined by improvising musicians, sound makers and performers
