Australian artist living in London - photomedia and video
Represented by Metro 5 Gallery Melbourne Australia.

Danzig has exhibited nationally and internationally including the USA, Russia, Europe and China. His work is included in the Artbank, QUT Art museum, New Museum of Contemporary Art New York collections as well as many private collections.

Danzig has recently returned from working on the Bolzano Gold project with Directors Istvan Horkay and Peter Greenaway . Danzig has also been awarded the first international artist in residency at the Beijing Film Academy in China for December 2006. He is also the Founding Director of the International Digital Art Awards which tours Australia, China and the US.

About the Artist

This work explores ideas around the constructed landscape and its intersection between hybrid and hyper-real
models. They are metaphorical and allusive rather than literal. As such it represents places and things we can identify
with but remain ambiguous and uncertain.
This work also considers the assumption that photography's role to record the facts is questioned. In this sense the
work undermines any clear concepts of reality and truthfulness. It questions traditional histories of photography,
mapping and rendering of the landscape.
