I was born in 1982 in Bury- Greater Manchester- I Moved to central Manchester in 2002 and studied for a degree in psychology- after which i moved to cornwall to pursue my interests in art. |

My artwork relates to how i feel about the world- I want to add to things that i appretiate and respect by glorifying them in paint- Such as humility- respect for nature- love- peace- consideration for the inner and outer layers of reality- I'm inspired by nature and honest faces. |

| This painting for me is about everything that I hold dear in my life. Its about love, humility, respect for nature, the different levels of reality that exist (both actual and imaginary) and its about reaping the rewards from being a good minded person throught life (ie- flowers of the mind). The painting is also about Life-force and its beautiful power- i chose to paint a sunflower in full bloom because i wanted it to express that the guitar players life is in full bloom with all of his lifes achievements and experiences before him- and now is a time for him to reflect. | This for me is about old age and death- but presented in a peaceful and fearless way- the old man has had a realisation that all physical actions during his life have been almost inconsequential due to the small scale influence that they bear in the grand scheme of existence. In a token of good humour he plays his violin for one last time before his stem is cut (hence the stemless rose- which incidently is supposed to be composed of human flesh) and he is free- his ties to the earth are severed and his swan song is his last will and testament. |

its supposed to be about social hierarchy- conformity- isolation- the afterlife and the disconection of man from natural order-
Tutan kharmoon is representative of the highest powers- rulers- kings queens- who are often the most isolatied- the police men are the subserveint populous who are more involved and often work together- but still they look odd because what they do is unnatural, their awkward posture is supposed to represent the lost aspect of people who fall into work roles but never fully understand themselves- and the men face away from the bees (the natural journey to a coming together of all) because they wish to interpret the world for themselves rather than face the flow of nature.
Its a bit of a loose explaination but i think thats most of what i was trying to say- |

| This artwork is about the fragmented and multi-dimensional aspect of reality and human existence- how we operate on many levels and how we are a part of the energy cycle or 'law of thermodynamics' where energy cannot be created or destroyed just transfered from one form to another- how we manifest and then seperate but our atome remain eternal- interwoven into the fabric of the eternal universe. |
