| (A Penan Man waiting for hunt in the forest. It calls for great skill to manage a Penan blowpipe. The blowing alone is an art in itself. The menacing spear at the tip of the blowpipe serves as an instrument for the ‘COUP-DE-GRACE’ in the more aggressive kill.) |

| (A portrait of a Kenyah woman with grandchild, this Kenyah woman from Lio Mato in upper Baram River. To reach Lio Mato it takes 5 hours by road from Miri.Note the heavy ear-lobes to such a remarkable extent. At the back is a highly colourful contraption for carrying a baby in the true-Kenyah style.)
