I was born in 1954, in North Delta, BC, Canada. I have been a full time professional Artist since 1982. My work has been collected worldwide, in 17 countries, numbering about 5000 pieces to date. | About the Artist |
I find endless inspiration in the Teleology of life itself. The endless recirculating patterns that both expand and diminish and collapse upon themselves only to regenerate out the other side. That could, in itself be reflective of a simple breath as that too falls within the aspect of small being big. The human Mythology and relationship; the struggle to exist within the greater Paradigm and our Pasts and Futures that appear to follow the same recirculating pattern that pervades the essence of everything. I find great fascination with the concurrent thought patterns that mirror themselves within that greater context. I believe life and society is a series of concurrent connected pyramid structures that ultimately form a goedesic orb, amongst endless other geodesic orbs that collectively form a fluid polyverse. Interesting to note that our whole societal structure and technological manifestations are simply just ideas that have come out of someone elses head and evolved into what it is today. Evolution itself seems to be a generational self correcting mechanism. We may just be following the path of genetic memory. |

This work attempts to deal with the way we spend our lives chasing that illusory bubble and climbing our own personal mountain, not realising the greater reality of which we are part. From the illusion of certainty, to the certainty of illusion. An epiphanous and lucid moment when all is revealed. Once seen, all will become obvious in time. |
Aevum Obscura

Meaning, "Eternity Obscured", this work positions the Human struggle with the unseen yet perceived umbilical chain, the Mortal Coil, that binds us to our Earth Mother, and the Dimensional Pathways that remain spiritually unseen largely due to our illusionary societal structure. Life will follow the paradigm, but it will cloud the truth. Interesting case in point, our whole society and manifestations thereof, have all come out of someone else's head, and evolved into what it is today. |

Attempts to solidify those rare moments when one catches a fleeting glimpse of reality and oneself, as exemplified by a 3 Dimensional mirror, expanding our tunnel vision conciousness in to the periphery of awareness. |

Palingenesis 1

Palingenesis, translated means "Self Birth". This Janus type biomass, is representative of that we can only really know what mask we are wearing when it is removed and replaced with another. Endemically we will wear many faces throughout our lifetimes, as the essence of life is one of change. |

This work concerns my personal belief that everything in it's ultimacy follows the same simple paradigm. From Micro to Macro, that, and our very thoughts themselves are a reflection of a prestructured code, far over and above but essentially reflective of and including genetics, synergetics, fractalism, all of our extensions. I don't think we are capable of imagining anything that cannot be one day, reality. We are merely reproducing and extending ourselves, whatever epiphenomenal physical, mental or spiritual crystalisation that might be. Those qualities may be the solid, liquid and gas metamorphoses of ourselves. I believe we will soon uncover, as like the Rosetta Stone, a recirculating structure, inverse in nature that will "unlock the simple key" of existence itself and all omnidirectional perceptions and structural dynamics. It all seems to follow a simple yet complex repeating and recirculating pattern. This attempts to position "the Further Adventures of Everyman", and particularly our Human Animal relationship and mythology with our own existence and manifestations thereof. Case in point in my opinion, it is no accident that the event of Jesus and the Apostles reflect the same structure of a governmental paradigm or that of a judicial hierarchy. That to me is but one example of how from a seed of an "idea", a virtual society is created, and how our technological advances are extensions of our own biological selves following basic tenets of physics. Might I postulate Socrates " Unexamined Life" statement by saying the overexamined life may go left unlived. Another example of an omnidirectional full circle. This is evinced by Swift's Gulliver, and Voltaire's Micromegas amongst many, many others. |

This piece is concerned with the ungraspable energy that comprises all matter. The essential life force that permeates all. From pre and present life to that which transmogrifies into subsequent realities. Nothing completely disappears, it only changes form, and state of matter, into an alternate reality. An assertation that stars themselves are "Mothers" of a larger nuclear family, living beings of sort, and that a fractalised, holographic structure is mirrored in each conscious being in which ever state of matter that might comprise. |
