Thomas Watkiss

About the Artist

I am inspired by the offset (economic, social and psychological) of post-industrial society. I am interested in how societies and people, over 4 generations from the industrial revolution cope with(out) the prospects of their great grandparents. I find this interesting, but at the same time grim and depressive. I reach into that and start working. My music is themed as "Background Music for the Worldmachine." My visual art attempts to illustrate that.
