| Tim Goulding |

Tim Goulding was born in Dublin in 1945 and has lived and worked near Allihies on the Beara peninsula, West Cork since 1969. He is a member of AOSDANA, an affiliation of artists set up by the Irish Arts Council in 1983 to honour those artists whose work has made an outstanding contribution to the arts in Ireland. Since 1964 he has exhibited extensively, including solo shows in Ireland, England, Portugal and the USA . His work is notable for its multifarious evolutions from a predominately land based inspiration to the current entirely abstract expressions.

| Education and biography |
Born Hatch Street, Dublin. 1945
Grew up beside the River Dargle in Co.Wicklow.
Educated in England from the age of 7 ,(Ludgrove School, Winchester College)
Awarded a 2 year scholarship to study Textile Design at the State School of Art, Konstfackskolan, in Stockholm. Returned prematurely in 1964 to concentrate on painting.
Largely self-taught as a painter.
Exhibiting professionally since 1964
Moved to Allihies on the Beara Peninsula, Co. Cork where he has lived and worked since 1968.
