Val started exhibiting in 1980ths in Russian non-conformist shows. His art was acquired by famous collector Norton Dodge and is kept in museum and private collections in Europe and USA. Bio is included into World Dictionary of Artists, K.G.Sauer. Val possesses brilliant skills in all kinds of graphic art; as he used to do series in graphics, you can see the same trend in his beautiful oil paintings. |
| About the Artist | |
My painting series “Performance” is a result of a lot of observations, poems read, things that I've seen and heard; as scenes from actual everyday life, and also social interrelations. The whole world is a grand theatre, and all of us - like actors, writers and participants. Tragical - comical, big and little, light and black. all these images are transformations of environment, which is as if it has been filtered through your own filter. the filter of a person's self, with your whole life experience. |

| Val earned Master of Fine Art degree in Graphics from Art School in Kharkov, the second largest city in Ukraine. Later he taught drawing and headed laboratory of Graphics in his alma mater. He was accepted as a member of Union of Artists of USSR in 1982. His bio included in the World Biographical Dictionary of Artists, Vol. 31, K.G. Saur Verlag München, Germany.
