I was born in Virginia in 1947. Three years later my family moved to Minnesota where I grew up and still reside. As a child I was always drawing, painting, or finding some other way to make objects from my imagination. It was fertile ground and often I used whatever raw materials I could to satisfy my creative urge. This tendency stayed with me through adulthood. |

| About the Artist | |
My art begins at an emotional level and takes form intuitively as the work progresses. I seldom know what direction it will go, but of this I'm certain- there is a kind of 'grace' that inheres in the moment, and I try to be open to it. The need to make an original creation is foremost, and beyond that, to convey something transcendent. |
