Education and biography
His first painting experiences date from 1960 with the painter George Doublet, and since that date he has never stopped painting and drawing.
During his adolescence, he was at first very attracted by portraits, and later by the country-side impressionism.
In 1972, he attended the evening courses of the Superior Classes of Drawing of Paris, followed by the school of Beaux Arts in Rouen. Later he studied painting at the Anquetin Academy with Mme Versini in Neuilly along with the studios of the painters Paul Berton and Christian Welter in Paris ; along with frequenting the studio of sculpture Henry Murail.
Activities:
In 1979, he animated a drawing academy in Vernon, Eure, and in 1981 founded the association "Art Visuel", directing for 13 years "L'Ecole Art Visuel", which grouped more than 100 students in the studios of plastic and graphic arts. He also taught drawing and oil painting techniques.
April 1981 - Selectioned for the Prix de Portrait Paul-Louis Weiller at the Institute of France in Paris.
1982 - organises an exhibition of about one hundred quality artisits, following which, he creates the first Salon in Vernon, Eure in collaboration with the town of Vernon, and continues to assume that organisation until 1996.
1984 - Participates in the creation of a wall painting of 50m2 for the Chapelle St. Jean-Baptists in Vernon (working in collaboration with Gobenceau and De Dreux-Brézé).
To celebrate the 900 anniversary of the death of William the Conquerer, he executes a painting of 20m2 (Icare's Fall) for the town of Vernon, Eure.
In parrellel with this pictural work, he also works as a graphist and illustrator, and becomes a professional artisit and joins the Maison des Artistes in 1981.
