Born Melbourne 1945, Helen Edwards is an Australian Artist working in Melbourne, Australia. Her paintings in soft pastel and oils have won many awards. |

She takes a tonal approach to her work and her style is Realist-Impressionist, the interplay of light and color being central. Depicting a range of subjects as varied as her interests Helen's paintings glow with the atmospheric effects of the natural light which so inspires her. Currently Helen is aspiring to a national level of portraiture in oils and pastel. Memberships include Portrait Artists Australia, The Victorian Artists' Society, The Pastel Society of Victoria and the Australian Guild of Realist Artists (AGRA). Helen has held 14 solo exhibitions since 1992, is represented by several commercial Galleries and exhibits and sells regulary at several selected annual Art Shows. |
