Manfred H Weisslein

About the Artist

Weisslein's field of work includes commissions of all kinds, exhibitons and events, where he acts as a bodypainter, too. He also works for movie productions or the executing of large commissions (projects as f.e. discotheques), which are part of this wide range of different activities. He mostly works freehand, he uses stencils very rarely.

“Normal” customers as well as VIP customers like the German film actor Martin Semmelrogge (famous for “Das Boot”) are very satisfied with his work. Various companies from different branches, industry, marketing- and event-agencies often ask for his extensive experience in the fields of bodypainting, making of masks or designing exhibits of all kinds of airbrush techniques. His favourite surfaces are all kinds of customs.

From 1999 until 2001 Manfred H. Weisslein took part at the German airbrush championships. In 1999 Manfred H. Weisslein was placed the 4th at the category “textile design” and the 3rd at the category “custom painting”. One of his most important successes in his previous career Manfred H. Weisslein achieved at the German airbrush championship 2000, where he placed 2nd in the category “textile design”. In 2001 he achieved 3rd place in the category “textile-design”.

In the German airbrush scene the Atelier Weisslein is wellknown as a competent representative and excellent advertising partner. This high reputations of Manfred H. Weisslein is based on his performances at different exhibitions all over Germany and Austria again and again.

A lot of press reports about Manfred H. Weisslein at daily newspapers (regional as well as national), magazines and airbrush journals have already been published. Also interviews and reports at different German radio stations like ”Antenne Bayern”, ”Bayern 3” and ”Radio 100,eins Aachen” clearly show the public interest in Manfred H. Weissleins‘ special knowledge.
Furthermore many TV interviews and TV reports (f.e. at the German TV stations RTL, RTL II and 9Live) have been shot about Manfred H. Weisslein and his activities.

From 2001 until today Manfred H. Weisslein yearly took part at the World Bodypainting Award in Seeboden, Austria. Two times he achieved the finals in the category “Special Effects”. In 2005 his team became Germany’s best participant in that category. The German TV station RTL showed an interview with him in August 2005.

In May 2005 we were invited at the “Life Ball” in Vienna, Austria. We painted dancers of the world famous Vienna State Opera Ballet in Rokoko-Style. This was an event for the Aids-Foundation of Sir Elton John. We were really honoured to be part of such a big show.

Manfred H. Weisslein is member of the World Bodypainting Association which helps bodypainters all over the world.

Gargoyles, creatures of stone, crafted by man a long long time ago to protect churches and castles... ...as time went on people forgot the knowledge of their ancestors and friendship became fear, fear became hatress. That hurt these creatures very deeply. Because of that magic pain they broke their stony hull at night as no one was able to see them. Since then night by night they awake to life, gliding around, and with the first sunshine they turn into stone again.
