| About the Artist |
My sculptures and my paintings always convey a meaning beyond the physical presence of the piece. The relationship between humans, our place in nature, and the beauty of our earth are my main subjects. I try to express this with the simplest means possible. |

Memories
2005 31 x 80 cm |
|
This painting is in memory of my father and his kind of world, both of which are gone forever. |
Another day
2006 41 x 51 cm |
|
Sometimes a perfectly good day can be very depressing just by the fact that it has to be lived, repeatedly with no holiday in sight. |
The cry
2006 66 cm high |
|
This woman is crying in outrage while at the same time adopting a stance of submission and silence. |
Gaia
2006 40 cm high |
|
The earth, or the womb with a glazed pebble inside, representing man and woman. |
Goddess
2006 96 cm high |
|
I am very interested in ancient cultures, their mythologies and belief systems. Often the woman goddess, bringer of life, was central to their world. Several sculptures were influenced by this interest.
