| About the Artist |
Marlene Caroselli used the doctoral degree she earned at the University of Rochester to land her corporate teaching positions and to get her foot in the publishing door. After 60 books, though, she decided it was time to turn from head-pursuits to pursuits involving the heart and the hands. Art now consumes her heart, her hands and her head!
Dr. Caroselli donates most of her pieces for local charity fundraisers. She prefers the mixed media format because of the experimentation possibilities it affords. Her paper sculptures have earned several ribbons in various juried shows.
Having inherited piles of fabric, lace, and junque from her seamstress mother, she enjoys and employs found art in her work. |
